APA(A) membership fees and MVR

It was agreed via vote at the last AGM (May 2015) that the annual membership fee was to increase to £60 per annum split into two £30 payments. Payments are now due on 1st February and 1st August every year.
There is a short grace period for this first payment in 2016 to be made, please ensure you pay your fees as soon as possible and set up reminders or schedule payments for following payments, this will ensure you remain a member of the APAA as well as being automatically included onto the MVR. Access to the members only forum, as well as discounts, right to vote on association matters and the right to stand for a committee role at elections, is only open to paid up Association members.The next APA(A) committee election will take place at the annual conference in May 2016.
It was also agreed by the committee that entry onto the Managed Voluntary Register would be free from February 2016. Please ensure you contact the Association to ensure your details and up-to-date and to specifically request entry on to the MVR.
When joining the Association, please ensure you complete the MVR pro forma which is available on the web site, and when renewing, please specify you also wish to be included on to the MVR. Please ensure details are updated if your circumstances change.
Trainee PA(A)s may join the Association with full voting rights and are able to nominate themselves to join the committee as the Student Representative. Trainees cannot hold ‘Officer’ roles on the committee.
